Tickets still available for Sigur Ros, Live from Jodrell Bank

Iceland’s much celebrated ambient/post rock band are performing as part of The Transmissions, a series of one-day outdoor shows in the shadow of the iconic Lovell Telescope.

Previous Transmissions featuring The Flaming Lips and Elbow have been national award winning for their innovation and creativity. Featuring a diverse array of internationally renowned musical artists alongside interactive science activities organised by Jodrell Bank, with projections on the 76 metre high Lovell Telescope, it’s a show like no other.

Sigur Ros are a pioneering force in a creative and vibrant Icelandic music scene whose live shows have received international critical acclaim. With an expansive sound and gargantuan visual light show, they are the perfect band to immerse the audience and venue in their cinematic soundscapes.

The show, which also features support acts Poliça, Nik Colk Void (Factory Floor) and Daughter, starts at 2pm on Friday, 30 August
