Crucial Guide Live now searchable

A much-used source of online student information and advice is now even easier to navigate, after a search function was introduced.
The Crucial Guide Live - which has been re-launched within My Manchester - has become a key resource for students looking for help and information online. With several hundred pages, it is also well used by staff looking for answers to common student queries.
Up until recently, there was no function to search the Crucial Guide Live, but this has now been added following student and staff feedback - and it can be easily accessed at:
Students can also access it once they log into My Manchester, under the 'My Campus Life' tab.
The work was done by the Applications Support and Development Team in IT Services, in conjunction with Student Communications and Marketing, as part of the on-going development of My Manchester.
In the long term, the use of the 'old' URL www.studentnet.manchester.ac.uk/crucial-guide will be phased out. Staff are encouraged to start using the new URL as soon as possible to signpost students to the Crucial Guide Live, as it offers a better experience for the student and better integration with My Manchester.
