BBC talk: Sports Personality of the Year - safe management of a major event

Presentation by Debbie Dubois, Production Executive for BBC Sport, on Wednesday, 20 March (3-4pm) in Theatre A, Coupland 3 Building.
As part of the activities for Wellbeing Week, Debbie Dubois will give a presentation on how BBC Sport manages the associated risks of hosting and filming BBC Sports Personality of the Year - the biggest show in the biggest sporting year.
Debbie's presentation will look at:
- How the show has grown from its original roots in TVC, with a small audience, through to last year's event at ExCeL Arena, where there was an audience of 16,000;
- Some of the issues that need consideration when you are trying to balance aspirations for high impact moments and a large public audience.
