Literature Live

08 Mar 2013

Don't miss the latest event in the popular Literature Live series, featuring author Kirsty Gunn and poet Tiffany Atkinson

The Centre for New Writing is hosting its next Literature Live event on Monday (11 March).

These events bring well-known contemporary novelists and poets to Manchester, to discuss and read from their work. Tickets include a glass of wine or soft drink at the post-event reception and discounts at the Blackwell bookstall.

Monday's event will feature Kirsty Gunn, author of seven books of fiction including a collection of short stories and a compendium of poetry, essays and fragments. She is published in the UK by Faber and in over twelve countries and languages throughout the world. Her most recent book “The Big Music” was published in July 2012 to great critical acclaim.

Tiffany Atkinson is a poet and literary critic, and lectures in English and Creative Writing at Aberystwyth University. She leads regular writers' workshops and academic seminars, as well as giving many readings throughout Britain and internationally.

  • Tickets to the event - at the Martin Harris Centre, starting at 6.30pm - cost £6 or £4 and can be booked by calling the Martin Harris Centre box office on 0161 275 8951 (2-4pm) or online at www.quaytickets.com
