Upgrading the University finance system

An essential project, called the Oracle R12 Upgrade, has been under way for nearly a year to ensure that University remains on a supported version of Oracle Financials.

So far, a lot of background work has been done to tidy up the current system and the project is expected to complete towards the end of 2013.

You will be affected by the upgrade if you use the Oracle finance system to any extent. In particular, if you are a senior manager (i.e. you report directly to the Registrar, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer), you will need to know what is happening.
