Computer Science does its bit for Children in Need

28 Nov 2012

The School raised a grand total of £875 from its fundraising activities on 16 November.

The activities and the funds raised by each of them were as follows:

  • Its annual online auction (a bit like eBay!) was open to all staff and students and, as usual, generated much excitement and resulted in mass bidding wars! The 91 items on sale raised a whopping £615.00. Many thanks to all staff and students for getting so involved.
  • A giant football card with all 92 clubs in the English football league raised a further £124.00. Many thanks to Chris Farrington for organising this.
  • Ruth Norris of Manchester Informatics baked some yummy lemon and poppy seed cupcakes, which kept everyone going through the morning.
  • A sale of mainly technical books attracted a lot of interest from students.

In total, the above activities raised £875.00 for Children in Need.
