Social Enterprise Workshop hosted by UMI3 Ltd

20 Nov 2012

Workshop in the Innovation Centre on Grafton Street to help you find out more about establishing a Social Enterprise and the recently-announced Social Enterprise 'Lite' competition.

As you know UMI3 and MEC are running a number of social enterprise linked activities this year with joint funding from The University and HEFCE/UnLtd.

This funding will make it easier for staff and students from the University to start up a social venture and thrive within the higher education environment. This initiative is being supported by Prof. Luke Georghiou, Vice President for Research and Innovation.

Our first activity, the Social Enterprise ‘Lite’ Competition, is a number of £500 ‘Try It’ awards to kick-start new ideas for social enterprises. This competition is now open and we are looking forward to hearing ideas from all staff, students and recent graduates (up to 12 months).

To help you find out more about establishing a Social Enterprise and the competition we would like to invite you to attend a workshop here in the Innovation Centre on Grafton Street.
