Wake up your wardrobe for charity at the SWISH clothes swap

17 Oct 2012

On Thursday 25 October (12.30pm -1.30pm), Rutherford Building.

SWISH clothes swap

If you're tired of seeing the same clothes hanging around in your wardrobe, bring them along to the next “SWISH” clothes-swapping event in the Rutherford Building and help to raise money and much-needed clothing donations for local charities.

The event – which takes place every six months and is organised by colleagues from the Directorate for the Student Experience (DSE) – is open to all University colleagues. Do pop along in your lunch hour.

The idea is simple: you bring in good quality items of clothing that you are willing to swap and pay an admission fee (£2 if you bring donations, £3 if you don’t), which goes straight to charity. Then you can rifle through the donations to find a fabulous item of clothing which is new to you.

All items of clothing (including baby/children's clothes) and accessories can be brought along - and more men's clothing would be especially welcome.

Any left-over clothes and entrance fees are donated to two fantastic local charities:

If you’d like more information or want to arrange to drop off your items of clothing in advance of the SWISH, please contact:
