Howard Winant is the author of The World Is a Ghetto: Race and Democracy Since World War II and the co-author (with Michael Omi) of Racial Formation in the United States; From the 1960s to the 1990s, as well as numerous other books and articles on race and racism. Co-hosted by American Studies (SALC) and Sociology (SOSS).
