Student Barometer Survey results available

Headline results from Phase 1 of the Student Barometer Survey are now available for staff to see.

Before Christmas, students were asked to complete the survey, to help build a comprehensive picture of the many different aspects of student life at Manchester – and inform the University’s ambition to provide an outstanding experience.

Almost 8,500 students participated in Phase 1 - thanks largely to a concerted promotional effort by staff in Faculties and Schools. This fantastic level of participation means work can now begin to bring about a range of improvements.

Data from the Student Barometer is used to inform School and PSS Student Experience Action Plans and will form a key part of the Annual Performance Review process. Participation also allows benchmarking globally, within the UK and against the Russell Group.

An interactive reporting interface has been developed for use by Schools, which allows detailed information to be accessed - if you need further information on this, you should contact your Head of School or Head of School Administration.

The Students’ Union has also been given full access to the results and is expected to encourage students to engage with the data and raise the subject within their Schools.
