Monthly Cycle to Work Breakfast

29 Feb 2012

On Wednesday 7 March (8.25am–9am), the Corridor Manchester cycle routes converge at MMU's Geoffrey Manton Refectory for a free breakfast.

Cycle to Work

Guided routes are set up for novice and experienced cyclists alike and it is a great event for exchanging ideas and showing support for cycling.

See the website for all the details of regular and on demand routes, as well as the breakfast location:

Remember: whether you join a route or not, you can cycle in for a free breakfast and a chance to win £30 to spend at the Bicycle Boutique.

Hope to see you there and please spread the word to colleagues (posters and tags are available to download from the website).

Manchester Bike Bash

There's another great cycling event the following week: Manchester Bike Bash, which is part of Well Being Week (12-17 March). Get on your bike and head down to University Place on Thursday 15 March (11am–3pm) for a cycling extravaganza!

Come and test your balance and skill on the pump track, a continuous looped wooden track where pedalling is forbidden! Bikes, safety equipment and tuition will be provided, so what are you waiting for? Come and have a go!

Other activities will be available on the day, including:

  • Virtual WATT Bike Racing
  • Bike maintenance from Bicycle Boutique
  • UMBUG promotion
  • Bike marking from Security Services
  • Campus bike hire scheme Biko Bikes
  • ... and much, much more!
