Culture is a shot in the arm

Staff in some of Manchester’s hospitals will get the chance to handle rare artefacts from The Manchester Museum and find out about the science of football with the Footy Professor during a week of special events planned for February.
The Whitworth Art Gallery, The Manchester Museum and Manchester Art Gallery are putting together ‘Culture Shots’ to celebrate the first ever Museums and Galleries Week.
Events are taking place from 6 to 12 February 2012 at the venues below, and aim to enhance the wellbeing of hospital staff and show the positive effect that visiting galleries and museums can have on your health:
- Manchester Royal Infirmary
- Central Manchester Children's Hospital
- St Mary's Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital
- University Dental Hospital of Manchester
