One in a million for IT Services

The IT Service Desk staff are in celebratory mood after reaching the grand milestone of logging their 1,000,000th service ticket at 18.09 on 4 November 2011.

The landmark call was made by Dr David Cullen from Physics and Astronomy (Faculty of EPS) and was received by Trevor Slater from the Humanities Service Desk – each of whom will be presented with a £50 Amazon Gift Card in recognition of the occasion.

IT Service Desk manager, Sinead Renold, was keen to highlight the achievements of all staff over the years that the Service Desk has been in operation: “The Shared Service Desk has been in operation since January 2008 and involves close collaboration between central and Faculty IT teams who staff the service. We aim to continually improve the satisfaction of staff and students using the service and to answer most problems on first contact, which is a great testament to our staff and their knowledge in being able to resolve many queries immediately.”
