Manchester Literature Festival: 10–23 October 2011

26 Sep 2011

Whet your literary palate at the sixth Manchester Literature Festival.

Manchester Literature Festival

Take a world tour of the imagination with inspirational authors as your guides to such far flung places as the Amazon jungle, the holy city of Mecca, 16th century Italy, the land of the Viking gods and bohemian Manchester itself.

Entertain the family at one of our storytelling events, indulge your passion for rugby and reading, and learn how to splice science and fiction. With every genre from Nordic crime fiction to dub poetry, there’s something to suit all literary tastes and ages.

Featuring Tahmima Anam, Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze, Sarah Dunant, Jeffrey Eugenides, Antonia Fraser, Michael Frayn, Alan Hollinghurst, Anthony Horowitz, David Lodge, Jonathan Meades, Andrew Motion, Catherine O’Flynn, Francesca Simon, Colm Tóibín, Claire Tomalin, Zhu Wen and many more.
