Digitise your reading list!

12 Sep 2011

Do your students complain that they can’t access items on reading lists?

Speak to the Library’s digitisation team and add to the 3400 items which have been scanned this last academic year. Whether it’s the most important chapters from books or key journal articles, all you need to do to request an item to be scanned is:

  • Go to the staff portal
  • Choose the “Library” tab
  • Select the “Library request” option

Choose books or journals from the library catalogue and the digitisation team will do the rest.

If there is a reason why the item cannot be scanned, you will be informed immediately. Otherwise you will receive a URL link to the scanned item for you to copy and paste into your reading list. Ordinarily your request will be dealt with in ten working days, though this may be a little longer at peak times.

We can also obtain scans of items not held by the JRUL from the British Library.

If you need any further information about either the digitisation service or the new reading lists system, Link2Lists, then please contact:
