Special seminar on 'Unconscious Bias': July's Diversity Calendar theme

With Professor Geoff Beattie, School of Psychological Sciences, on Wednesday 27 July (12.30pm) in the John Casken Lecture Theatre, Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama.

As human beings we are continually processing information to simplify and categorise the world around us. Although this is an essential process, we are not aware of our unconscious bias and how this may be prejudicing our behaviour.

The University of Manchester is taking a lead role in this research and we’re delighted to be able to invite you to a special seminar on the subject:

‘Do we all have unconscious biases?  How implicit biases might affect recruitment and promotions’
