Blackboard 9 training for May

Kick Start: Building Your Courses and Kick Start: Assessing Your Learners on 18 and 19 May

A new course is being offered this month (i.e. Kick Start: Building your Courses), which is aimed specifically at users with little or no experience of using Blackboard 9 (BB9). Also on offer is a slightly more advanced course on using the assessment tools in BB9. Listed below are the details for the training taking place in May:

Wednesday 18 May 2011 (9.30am-12.30pm; Kilburn Building, Training Room 2)
Kick Start: Building your Courses

This half-day session is for users who have little experience with Blackboard 9.1. The workshop looks at the following topics:

  • Designing the Course Structure
  • Adding and Presenting Course Content
  • Customizing the Course Environment

Wednesday 18 May 2011 (1.30-4.30pm; Kilburn Building, Training Room 2)
Kick Start: Assessing your Learners

This half-day session is for users who have previous experience of using BB9. The workshop looks at the following topics:

  • Issuing and Collecting Assignments
  • Creating and Deploying Tests
  • Monitoring Performance with the Grade Center

Thursday 19 May 2011 (9.30am-12.30pm; Kilburn Building, Training Room 2)

This half-day session is for users who have little experience with Blackboard 9.1. The workshop looks at the following topics:
