Softball in Manchester: A mixed-sex summer sport for all abilities

27 Jan 2011

Looking for new players ...

Softball is a mixed sex, summer sport, which is essentially the social form of baseball. It shares many of the same rules. It is competitive but friendly and has a very strong social aspect. The Manchester league has been running since the early nineties and has three divisions and hundreds of players; the range of abilities runs from complete beginners to international standard.

The Manchester Bullfrogs are an experienced club running two teams. We have a strong, competitive team in Division 1, and a more social team in Division 3 (the Dragons). We train and play every week in Manchester during the summer, and attend a number of weekend tournaments across the country. Training is taken by experienced and qualified coaches. We are unique in the fact that we emphasize the social and fun aspect of softball, without losing the competitive edge that makes sport what it is!

We are currently looking for new players for the new season. We are looking for anyone who wants to play softball from experienced players or strong athletes who fancy a new challenge, to those who just want to try it out and have a bit of fun after work in the summer. We can cater for all standards.
