New Blackboard training courses

On 25 and 27 January in the Kilburn Building

We have two new BB9 training courses on offer this month. These sessions will be led by a Blackboard Training Consultant and focused on key teaching and learning tools in the BB9 environment. They are the following:

Tuesday 25 January 2011 (9.30am-12.30pm, Training Room 3, Kilburn Building)
Kick Start – Assessing your Learners

This half-day session looks at the following topics:

  • Issuing and Collecting Assignments
  • Creating and Deploying Tests
  • Monitoring Performance with the Grade Center

Thursday 27 January 2011 (1.30-4.30pm; Training Room 3, Kilburn Building)
Kick Start – Collaboration and Communication

This half-day session looks at the following topics:

  • Supporting Student Interaction
  • Create, manage, and grade Blogs, Journals and Wikis
  • Managing Groups

These sessions are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the BB9 tools that support assessment and student collaboration and communication. Previous experience of using BB9 is helpful but not a pre-requisite for these training sessions.
