Travel Awards for students

Do you know a student who wants to travel in the summer of 2011?

The Alumni Association is offering Travel Awards of £200 to help current students bring practical or social benefits to the international community.

Students could be eligible to receive a Travel Award if:

They are a current UG or PG student not in their final year of study.
Their trip will benefit the community they are visiting in a social or practical manner.
Their trip will enhance their broader development.
They have identified and approached other sources of funding.
They are enthusiastic and committed to travelling.

Applications will not be considered if:

Students are travelling to their country of origin.
Students are travelling for leisure, a sports event or to an academic conference.

The deadline for applications is 1 April 2011.
