Dave Haslam helps to launch first academic study of The Smiths

MUP book launch on 26 November at Waterstone's, Deansgate

Manchester University Press will be holding a launch at Waterstone's, Deansgate, on 26 November to celebrate the publication of Why pamper life’s complexities?, the first critical study devoted to the The Smiths.

The event will provide fans with a unique opportunity to take part in a panel discussion chaired by Dave Haslam, legendary Manchester DJ (Haçienda) and author of Manchester, England (Sunday Times’ Pop Music Book of the Year). The panel discussion will be followed by a drinks reception and book signing.
