Shostakovich String Quartet No. 1, Op. 49
Benoît Mernier La Guêpe et l’Orchidée (UK Première)
Shostakovich’s depiction of apparent childish naivety in his first string quartet of 1938, and a taste of Deleuzian philosophy with one of Belgium’s leading composers.
Enjoy a free lunchtime concert with the University’s internationally renowned string quartet Quatuor Danel. Donations collected will be in aid of the Pakistan flood appeal. There’s no need to book, just turn up.
