Invite for creative young people

30 Sep 2010

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative young people (aged 16 – 25 years) to work with us on an exciting project exploring the topic of human enhancement.

This project brings together young people, scientists, ethicists and artists to develop performances about enhancement for the Manchester Science Festival. We will explore different aspects of science that allow us to improve ourselves. Would you like to be super-human?Or are too many people seeking perfection?

You will get chance to explore amazing technologies and develop new skills during a series of development workshops in October. The project will culminate in public performances during Manchester Science Festival week at the end of October. The only requirement for getting involved is that you need to have worked on a creative project in the past.

For more information about the project, please see the following link: http://www.manchestersciencefestival.com/getinvolved/seekingperfection

If you keen to participate in the project, please contact Danny Fahey on: DannyFahey@contact-theatre.org.

This is a collaborative project between Manchester Science Festival, Nowgen (A Centre for Genetics in Healthcare), Contact Theatre and The University of Manchester and it is funded by The Wellcome Trust.
