ESTIVAL 7-10 June 2010

01 Jun 2010

Manchester's biggest student classical music festival

Now into its 32nd year, Estival is Manchester’s biggest student arts festival, running over four days in June.

Estival is primarily a showcase for the city’s most talented young musicians, who will present young and fresh interpretations of masterpieces ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century, soul to the avant-garde. A Czech fascination is present throughout the festival with works by Dvořák, Martinů and Janáček.

Local artists will be exhibiting their latest works at the festival, as well as letting audiences into their creative worlds through live art inspired by the musical events, visually documenting the festival on canvas.

With 12 concerts over four days, pre-concert talks, workshops, a plethora of jaw-dropping soloists, Estival is not to be missed!

The Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama will host all the concerts during the festival, which will take place throughout the day at 1.10pm, 5pm and 7.30pm.
