Reduced rate bone density screening

SPORT are offering a reduced rate bone density screening for all employees of the University, to raise awareness of Osteoporosis. The screenings will take place on Tuesday 30 March in Dover Street Building. There are a limited number of spaces, so book early to avoid disappointment.

The reduced rate for members of staff is £27.00 and payments can be made on the day by cheque or cash. The screenings will be conducted by Tracey Hunt MSc, BSc (HONS) & Isobel Pugh MSc, BA (HONS) using a machine called a heel ultrasound scanner. The test is safe, quick, has no side effects and most importantly, it is painless!

You will also receive an information pack containing nutrition, exercise and lifestyle advice, to enable you to safeguard yourself against Osteoporosis and greatly enhance your chances of having strong and healthy bones for life.

Screenings last approximately 15 minutes.
