The workshop will include presentations from University academics who have successfully developed their research into commercial ventures and members of BBSRC, UMIP and UMIC who will discuss areas of career development in biomedical and environmental sciences, particularly in biotech start-up companies.
It will provide an excellent opportunity for young academics, including Postdoctoral and Masters students, to network with local commercial people from start-ups and various professional services associated with business creation, development and support.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Young Entrepreneurs Schemes (YES), including Biotechnology YES and Environment YES, and how to enter this year’s competition.
