Make a child eggstra happy this Easter

09 Mar 2010

Support the Wood Street Easter Project 2010

Once again, Wood Street Mission will be handing out Easter eggs/chocolate to children at Easter. Last year, the University collected over 700 Easter eggs which had been purchased by members of staff, in addition to monetary donations. Members of staff have shown tremendous support for the Mission throughout the year and I hope that the 2010 Easter Project will be as successful as last year's.

To avoid having Easter eggs left over after Easter, Wood Street Mission asks that all Easter eggs are with them by Friday 19 March. This is the date on which the van will collect them from Sackville Street, so I must receive them by no later than Wednesday 17 March.

If anyone wishes to make a financial donation towards the Project this would help them to pay for the extra volunteers needed to help distribute the Easter eggs as well as the extra van collections that will need to be undertaken to collect them all!

For the first time this year, Wood Street Mission is also asking for donations of foodstuffs, including tins, biscuits, tea, coffee etc.

If you wish to give an Easter egg(s) or make a monetary donation, please contact me or the Treasurer so that arrangements can be made to collect them:

Thank you once again for your continued support.
