Manchester Hermit
Arriving 27 June

Artist Ansuman Biswas will be taking up residency in the Museum's gothic tower for 40 days and 40 nights from 27 June. Currently undertaking a period of research in the Museum, Ansuman is working with the Museum's collection exploring ideas around memory and extinction.

Once in the tower, he will be opening up a wider debate about why museums collect and preserve objects, whilst allowing species and cultures to become forgotten and extinct. He will be communicating through an online blog, further details will be posted on the Museum's website soon.
