Traffic congestion in Prestwich area on 4, 6 and 7 June

Information bulletin on Oasis concerts in Heaton Park
Bury Police have advised that the three open-air concerts by Oasis to be held in Heaton Park, Prestwich later this week will attract in excess of 70,000 people into the area.
There will inevitably be traffic congestion at certain times of the day in the Prestwich area, in particular around Bury Old Road, Sheepfoot Lane and Middleton Road.
The concert events are as follows:
- Thursday 4 June (4pm – 11pm)
- Saturday 6 June (4pm – 11pm)
- Sunday 7 June (4pm – 11pm)
On event dates the Heaton Park Metrolink station will close at 9pm; all other stations will operate as normal.
