Former Principal and Vice-Chancellor of UMIST has died

The University of Sheffield has announced the sudden death last week of its former Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Boucher, who was Principal and Vice-Chancellor of UMIST from 1995 to 2001.

A private funeral for family and friends will be held for Professor Boucher on Saturday 4 April 2009. There will be a public memorial service later in the year (date to be announced).
