Staff and students aged 18 to 30 are invited to the inaugural meeting of the new Rotaract Club of Manchester International. The meeting will take place at the Manchester Business School (in the Alumni Club Room) on Thursday 6 November at 6pm.
Rotaract is an opportunity to:
- Be part of a fun and dynamic international organisation
- Make lots of new friends aged 18 to 30
- Take part in activities you wouldn't normally get the chance to do
- Develop and improve yourself
- Support your local community
- Raise funds for local and national charities
- Help communities oveseas
A Rotaract Club is formed by a minimum of 20 like-minded young people headed by an elected President and Council Members. Meetings are held regularly and are based around activities chosen by the members.
The success of the Club depends on the leadership shown and the way in which the Club is promoted. Rotary provides a mentoring role and that link should be valuable for joint activities.
Each Rotaract Club promotes activities which bring the members into contact with other Rotaract Clubs, with business and professional organisations, and with Rotary, which has 1.2 million members worldwide.
Rotaract members have access to Rotaract and Rotary Clubs all over the world, and are welcome to attend meetings anywhere.
