Upgrades at Chancellors.

29 Jul 2008

Four new meeting rooms and contemporary re-styling for hotel and conference centre.

The University’s Chancellors Hotel & Conference Centre is about to undergo an upgrade to its already relaxed ambience bringing a more contemporary feel to this hidden gem.

By the end of September, Chancellors will boast a new doorway, a stylish new reception area, and new carpets in the public areas. Designers have carefully chosen new soft furnishings in all bedrooms, aimed at adding a luxury touch to any guest’s stay at the hotel, and new conference chairs in all conference rooms.

In addition, four new meeting rooms will open in the old listed mansion wing, which was designed in 1850 for engineer Joseph Whitworth by Edward Walters, who also designed the Whitworth Building, and the Free Trade Hall. The aim is to create stylish meeting rooms blending contemporary furniture within the setting of this beautiful old house, and adding to the already wonderful delegate and guest experience.
