Professor Martin Humphries appointed with effect from 1 September 2008.

At its meeting earlier this week, the Board of Governors approved the appointment of Professor Martin Humphries as Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences with effect from Monday 1 September 2008.

In addition to his new role, Professor Humphries will continue to lead his research programme, serve as Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research, and maintain his active involvement in a number of research-related external activities.
