Public lecture to launch new University institute.

The University’s two Nobel Laureates will be giving an agenda-setting public lecture to launch the new Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation (iSEI).

Professor John Sulston (Nobel Laureate in Physiology/Medicine 2002) and Professor Joseph Stiglitz (Nobel Laureate in Economics 2001), will both be speaking at the event which is being held on Saturday 5 July.

The event, entitled “Who Owns Science?”, will be chaired by Anna Ford, Co-Chancellor of the University. It takes place between 4.30pm and 7pm in University Place, Theatre A.

Professor Sulston is the Chair of the iSEI, and the event is being held in association with the Brooks World Poverty Institute, which is chaired by Professor Stiglitz.
