Exercise programme for office-based staff.

Struggling to get away from your desk for a Campus Walk? Do not fear, help is here. The web based workouts, called 'Deskercise', will allow office-based staff to build exercise into their daily routine. The exercise programmes have been devised around the themes "Stretching and Posture", "Strength and Conditioning" and "Relaxation and Breathing".

We all know that exercise and physical activity is good for us and that sitting at a computer for long periods of time is bad for us. It can cause neck, shoulder and back pain, decrease mobility, result in bad posture and is even thought to increase our chances of developing deep vein thrombosis. But finding the time to build physical activity into a busy schedule is often tricky.

Not any more! We have created Deskercise - to show you just how easy it can be to fit some physical activity into your time at work.

What is Deskercise?

Deskercise is a series of instructional videos aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of staff and students.

How do I take part in Deskercise?

Log in by entering your university username on the left. The first time you do this you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire. You will only have to do this the first time. Once completed, you are free to enjoy Deskercise!
