MUP to have dedicated area within Blackwell's Bookshop

Manchester University Press and Blackwell's Bookshop, Manchester, are proud to announce a new partnership. The partnership is unique in the UK book business, and shows at last a positive and forward looking relationship between bookseller and publisher.

As part of its academic range expansion, and to show support for its local publisher, Blackwell's will shelve and display one copy of every MUP book which is in print - from sixties language texts, to contemporary textbooks, to high level monographs.

The display will occupy its own dedicated space in the Blackwell's shop, as a miniature MUP shop. The deal will not compromise Blackwell's already successful subscription and sale of both new books and textbooks, which will continue to be stocked in the usual places within the shop. As stock sells from the MUP shelves, it will be re-ordered to keep the shop up to date.

It is hoped that within a short amount of time MUP and Blackwell's can work together to enable browsers of the MUP website to order books directly from the Manchester Blackwell's branch, to further strengthen this new relationship.

Meanwhile, please visit the shop and browse the full range!
