Vacancy for Residential Tutor at Woolton Hall.

Applications are invited from academic, academic-related or research staff of postgraduate students at The University of Manchester for a residential Tutor post at Woolton Hall on the Fallowfield Campus of the University halls of residences.

Tutors work as part of the welfare support team in each residence. Duties include assisting in the pastoral care of residents, working with the Residents Association and helping to foster a community spirit. Tutors will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends at regular intervals.

Applicants should be sociable and interested in student affairs. They should also be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and experience of team-working.

Remuneration is given to Tutors in the form of free accommodation.  Tutors residing in catered halls are expected to pay for the meal charges applicable for their hall of residence.

The post is available immediately and in the first instance until 31 August 2008.
