Literature Live with Geoff Dyer.

30 Nov 2007

Reading and Q&A session on Monday 10 December.

Geoff Dyer's books include 'But Beautiful', which won the Somerset Maugham Award and was proclaimed "the best book ever written about jazz" by Keith Jarrett, and the 2003 memoir 'Yoga For People Who Can't Be Bothered To Do It', which documents his search for 'peak experiences' over 20 years of travelling.  He regularly contributes to The Guardian, The Independent and Esquire.

"If Dyer weren't so prolific, it would be tempting to crown him Slacker Laureate. A restless polymath and an irresistibly funny storyteller, he is adept at fiction, essay, and reportage, but happiest when twisting all three into something entirely his own." - The New Yorker

This reading will be followed by a Q & A session led by Dr Ian McGuire.

Literature Live is presented by the University's Centre for New Writing.

Venue: The John Thaw Studio Theatre
Time: 6:30pm
