Events at The Centre for New Writing.

14 Nov 2007

Literature Live with writer and journalist Geoff Dyer on 10 December.

Poets Robert Crawford and Peter Sansom took part in another lively Literature Live event on 12 November, reading both selections from their collected works and new poems before participating in a Q&A session with the audience.

The Centre's events are proving extremely popular, and its next Martin Amis Public Event, Literature and Terrorism on 3 December, has sold out; but on 10 December writer and journalist Geoff Dyer will appear at its next Literature Live event. Dyer's books include But Beautiful, which won the Somerset Maugham Award and was proclaimed "the best book ever written about jazz" by Keith Jarrett, and the 2003 memoir Yoga For People Who Can't Be Bothered To Do It, which documents his search for 'peak experiences' over 20 years of travelling.

The event will take place at the Martin Harris Centre at 6.30pm, and everyone is welcome. Ticket prices include a complimentary drink, and discounts at the Blackwell bookstall on the night.
