Lunchtime and evening musical performances: 15-22 November.
Come and unwind at one of our FREE lunchtime concerts: Thursday 15 November sees an exciting, wide-ranging programme by the winner of the 2006 British Contemporary Piano Competition and on Thursday 22 November we play host to The University Of Manchester's internationally renowned string quartet, The Quatuor Danel. Concerts start at 1.10pm in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall. For those of you who wish to broaden your musical knowledge there follows a seminar at 2.15pm, on 22 November, titled Sergey Tanyev - The Russian 'missing link'. Admission is free and the session will be led by our very own Professor David Fanning and Anastasia Belina (University of Leeds).
Or why not support our home grown talent and come along to The University of Manchester String Orchestra on Friday 16 November? The programme includes works by Mozart, Bartok, Elgar and Grieg. The performance will be held in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall and starts at 7pm.
