Jack the dog and Vanessa raise vital funds for the blind!

16 Oct 2007

5K dog and owner race to support Henshaws Society for the Blind

On Sunday 4 November, Vanessa Mulholland (who works in TLSO) and her one year old dog Jack, will be competing in their  first ever 5k Cani-Cross event at Sherwood Forest. They are really excited about it as they have been doing lots of training and stand a good chance of doing pretty well!

They are running the event to help raise vital funds for Henshaws Society for Blind People. Henshaws provide practical, caring and imaginative support for blind and visually impaired people across the North West. They have been providing their amazing services for 170 years now and they really do make a big difference to thousands of people. Vanessa wanted to raise money for Henshaws as a number of Jack's doggie friends are Guide Dogs and they have seen the number of obstacles that people face.

Vanessa and Jack are hoping that people might be able to support their run and help them to make a difference. It would be great if people could sponsor them. All sponsorships will be gratefully appreciated - no matter how big or small. You can do this by logging on to:

Thank you in advance.
