24 Sep 2007

10 week evening classes on campus with big discounts for staff and students

With Chinese economics and politics assuming an ever-increasing profile, it is more useful than ever to increase your knowledge of Chinese language and culture.

The Confucius Institute based in the Samuel Alexander building is offering ten week courses in Mandarin at various levels (from complete beginner) starting in the week commencing 8 October.

The classes run for four hours per week over two evenings.  The cost is normally £200 but is discounted to £160 for employees and staff at the University.  That works out to only £4 per hour!

The classes are fun and are taught by the highest calibre native Chinese teachers.

They do not lead to a formal qualification but the language skills you will pick up with be very substantial.
