Tutor Vacancies at Owens Park and Whitworth Park

Applications are invited from academic, academic-related or research staff of postgraduate students of The University of Manchester for Tutor posts within Owens Park and Whitworth Park halls of residence.
 
Tutors work as part of the welfare support team within the hall of residence, duties include assisting in the pastoral care of residents, working with the Residents Association and helping to foster a community spirit.
 
Applicants should be sociable and interested in student affairs.  They should also be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and experience of team-working.
 
Tutors will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends at regular intervals.
 
Remuneration is given to tutors in the form of free accommodation.  The positions are available immediately, and the appointment in the first instance will be until 31 August 2008.
