17 Apr 2023

Digital Experience Week begins Monday, 24 April, and there's a number of events for students to explore digital career opportunities and build digital skills

Digital Experience Week

The Careers Service are holding Digital Experience Week beginning Monday, 24 April for students to build digital skills, experience, and their digital presence.

The week will begin with our Digital Experience Showcase from 11am-3pm on Monday, 24 April in University Place. There will be digital skills providers and recruiters available to talk to students about career opportunities in the tech industry and provide workshops to help them build valuable digital skills.

With employers from all sectors taking interest in an applicant’s digital presence when recruiting, as part of our Digital Experience Showcase, we will have a professional LinkedIn photographer present to take profile photos. Students can also drop in to see our team of Careers Consultants and Advisors for feedback on their LinkedIn profiles, to start building and shaping their digital career footprint. There will also be some free treats available on the day.

Throughout the week, we will have a range of workshops for students to develop their digital skills in areas such as coding, JavaScript, a practical introduction to software engineering, and a ‘find your tech match’ event to match students’ skills and interests to tech and digital roles. Workshop participants during the week will also be entered into a free prize draw.

Please encourage students to attend, further information is available. Students can also register for the week’s events on CareerConnect.
