Manchester Museum: ‘Looking for languages’ family-friendly trail

03 Apr 2023

The Linguistic Diversity Collective in partnership with Creative Manchester and Manchester Museum are holding a language-themed museum trail during the Easter holidays

Manchester Museum

Families are invited to collect an activity sheet and explore the recently re-opened Museum’s enchanting collections while thinking about their own language(s) along the way. From exhibits featuring ancient languages to a look at the languages and cultures of today, the trail offers a unique language-themed perspective for visitors to enjoy.

Members of the Linguistic Diversity Collective will be at the trail welcome table to chat – whether it’s about the Collective itself or anything you’d like to ask or discuss about languages.

The event is a belated addition to Manchester City of Literature’s International Mother Language Day 2023 programme of celebrations and takes place on Wednesday, 12 April from 1pm-5pm.

Places are free to reserve, with several arrival times available.
