The University announces plans to develop new multi-faith spaces

As part of our ongoing commitment to offering an inclusive environment for all our staff and students, the University is developing a University-wide multifaith strategy.

The strategy includes plans to address multi-faith understanding in accordance with the University’s values and also to enhance our current prayer space offering by developing a range of new multi-faith prayer spaces across campus. We are currently working on plans for the first new prayer space. 

Banji Adewumi, Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and Diana Hampson, Director of Estates and Facilities, said, “This is an exciting project which will start to come to life in 2023. We’ll be engaging with staff and students as our plans develop, and we look forward to sharing more news with you in the New Year.”
