COVID vaccination pop-up on campus and our latest guidance

03 Nov 2022

Pop-up centre on campus on Wednesday, 9 November and updated FAQs

The NHS Vaccination Team will be on campus again on Wednesday, 9 November offering COVID vaccinations for eligible staff and students.

They will be by the Whitworth Arch between 10am and 4pm offering first and booster doses. The NHS website has further information on booster doses for COVID, including who should get boosted.

Vaccines are an incredibly important way to keep safe this winter and eligible people are also encouraged to get a flu vaccine. There are further details about who can get this vaccine, and how on the NHS website.

There are also a number of simple steps you can take to help prevent yourself and others getting sick.

Hand hygiene

Keep practising good hand hygiene using soap or sanitiser. Sanitiser is available from the main entrances of buildings, along with face coverings which you can choose to wear.

If you feel ill

If you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness, stay at home for at least five days. Carry on working if you feel able to, but if not then you can report sickness in the normal way. There is no longer a separate survey for staff to complete for COVID-19. Students can still report using the online survey.
