Achieve savings by using contracted agencies
Dear Colleague
We have recently being reviewing contract spend for Temporary Staff agencies within the University and have identified that out of an expenditure of £4.4m for the period June 06 to June 07, £2.3m has been spent with non-contracted agencies. Analysis within this area identified that savings of around 10% can be achieved by switching to one of the approved suppliers. There are a couple of reason why there are significant savings which are:
1. Reduced commission charges payable to the supplier as the Procurement Office has negotiated low fixed charges
2. VAT is only payable on the suppliers commission charge not on the whole hourly rate.
The approved providers for temporary staff are:
