Re-thinking the University Museum

28 Jun 2007

The success of recent projects was celebrated on 15 June

The biggest event since the re-opening of the museum, Re-thinking the University Museum on Friday 15 June was an open celebration of The Manchester Museum's success in recent projects, and opportunity to launch the new strategic plan. On show were two of the Museum's newest facilities - the Resource Centre and Play + Learn family space. Guests also had the opportunity to see Revealing Histories, A Place for Everything and After Life exhibitions, as well as rousing performances of This Accursed Thing. Professor Alan Gilbert, President and Vice-Chancellor of The University of Manchester opened the event with a very encouraging speech recognising the importance of a great museum to a world-class university.
