Chairman of the UK Levelling Up Advisory Council, Andy Haldane, is delivering a Vital Topics lecture at Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) on Thursday, 9 June at 3:15pm

Andy Haldane

In September 2021, Andy Haldane was appointed by the Prime Minister to define and develop the national levelling up strategy – a decade-long moral, social and economic cross-government, cross society programme to spread opportunity and prosperity to all parts of the UK.

The Levelling Up in the United Kingdom white paper was published in February 2022 and sets out a plan of action to spread opportunity more equally across the UK.

In this lecture, Andy Haldane will explore how the White Paper’s ambitious vision and 12 national levelling up missions can now be made a reality in UK towns and cities by 2030.
